Product Description Motorola Motofone F3 Unlocked Cell Phone Black
Combining Motorola's sleek design sensibility with intuitive and easy-to-learn functionality, the nicely affordable Motofone F3 slides easily into your pocket. Functional and fashionable, the Motofone F3 is designed to keep you in close communication with your friends, family, and business associates via voice and text messaging. It features dual-band GSM connectivity (850/1900 MHz), speakerphone, a clock with integrated alarm, and up to 500 minutes (over 8 hours) of talk time as well as up to 300 hours of standby (over 12 days). This unlocked cell phone does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider.
Phone Features: This candybar-style phone measures just 0.35 inches (9mm) thin, and it has a unique Motorola ClearVision display that helps to increase the battery life of the phone. The changeable electronic ink display (electrophoretic imaging film) is easy to read in bright sunlight or dimly lit environments from virtually any angle--just like paper. Additionally, the display is plastic, lightweight and ultra-low power, making it ideal for mobile and power sensitive applications by eliminating the weight and breakability of glass used in LCD displays.
The text display contains only two lines of six characters each, and it shows a digital clock when there's no activity. Combined with a flush-fitting keypad and dust-resistant design, the Motofone F3 is especially durable in active everyday use.
The Motofone F3 offers a redesigned user interface with voice prompts to guide the you quickly and easily through menu navigation, messaging, and other functions. In addition, graphical icons visually demonstrate the menu features as well as network status and battery strength. For pre-paid customers, the Motofone F3 automatically reports the status of your pre-paid account after each call or message.

Best phone out there, if all you want is a phone November 28, 2009 Jeffrey J. Werner (Ithaca, NY) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
The Motofone has better battery life, signal strength, and talking clarity than any other phone I've ever used. It's solid as a rock, and you can smash it, get it wet, let your dog chew on it, it'll be fine. The ringer and the speaker phone can get very loud if you turn them up all the way, which is nice. The e-ink display is like reading printed ink on paper, so you can see it clearly in direct sunlight (there's a light so you can see it in the dark too...). The e-ink display is much more durable and long-lasting than the traditional LCD display, and it uses much less battery power. There is no other mobile phone on the market that has an e-ink display, none that I know of anyway.
This phone has no bells or whistles. It can make phone calls, store phone numbers, and write very limited text messages, and that is it. But, if all you want is a phone, you can't do any better than the motofone.
What people must understand February 10, 2010 Ann C. Meyers (Pittsburgh) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This cell phone is not your typical cell phone. If you are looking for a nice phone with lots of features, then don't waste your time buying this. But if you're looking for a truly simple, and durable phone, then this is it. You could probably drop this cell from your roof and it would be fine. The screen is made out of hard plastic just like the rest of the phone. It is very light-weight, and very thin. It may not have many features, but at 20 dollars what do you expect? It gets great signal, has a loud ringer, and send and receives texts. It's screen uses the same technology the Amazon Kindle uses. Which mean it's screen is basically like reading words on paper. This means you can easily see texts in the brightest of sunlight. I would recommend this phone to anyone who doesn't mind getting used to texting without a keyboard or T9, and doesn't mind not being able to take pictures with their phone. I would also recommend this as a good phone to use when doing extreme sports like snowboarding. Just pop the SIM card out of your nice phone, put it in this and then you won't have to worry about breaking that Iphone, Droid, Blackberry, or whatever expensive phone you may have.
Practical, nice and loud December 17, 2009 T. Walker 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this little cell phone! Zero bells and whistles, just clear, loud communication. works everywhere and doesn't cut out like the expensive, top of the line cell phone I had before. Doesn't have a dictionary so not the best for texting, but great speaker sound--I can hear it clear across the room.

The best price, does the job. I have two, never hurts to have a backup.
Basic phone June 7, 2010 Gail L. (Tampa, FL) Basic phone that is good for a fill in when primary phone is not available. Calls only, no texting.
